Maxi-rig Drill Mongoose Reclaimer Mud Pump JT8020 Drill

GD3500 Maxi-Rig

The most powerful directional drilling rig in NZ, this maxi-rig has 400T of push and pull force and can pull pipe as large as 2m in diameter for up to 3km. The maxi-rig debuted on the Brighams Creek project where it drilled a pipeline up to 27.5m underneath the creek.

Mongoose Reclaimer

The mongoose reclaimer removes the cuttings from the return drill slurry so that the it can be reused. The unit has two processes to separate the solids incorporating a shaker and hydro-cyclones. This unit is capable of keeping up with the fluid demands of the maxi-rig.

Mud Pump

This 500HP mud pump works with the mongoose reclaimer and the maxi-rig. The mud pump can pump 500GPM and is one of the largest of its kind in the country. Recently imported from overseas, the pump is a key ingredient to achieving the full capability of the maxi-rig.

JT4020 Drill

The JT4020 (18T) has been busy installing 355mmØ, 450mmØ and 600mmØ stormwater pipelines for Auckland Council throughout the North Shore. (Drill dim: L8.56m W2.21m H2.44m, op mass: 12.55T,
rod bend radius: 58m, torque: 6,800Nm, max fluid Q: 450L/min).

JT2720 Drill

The baby of the drill fleet, the JT2720 (12T) has seen a lot of action in its life. This drill is useful for the smaller jobs and fitting into tight spaces. (Drill dim: L6.0m W1.8m H2.3m, op mass: 7.7T, rod bend radius: 40m, torque: 4,475Nm, max fluid Q: 178L/min).

12,000L Vacuum Truck

This custom built six wheel vacuum loading truck has a 12,000L tank capacity which is well suited to any medium sized drilling operations. This machine is in high demand and was very busy on-site assisting with the installation of the Mangere East Branch Sewer.

3,000L Vacuum Truck

The Ditch Witch FX30 four wheel truck mounted vacuum unit has a capacity of 3,000L. This unit is suited to the smaller utility projects as well as spill response and clean ups. The unit also has a water blasting/ vacuum attachment for vacuum excavation of services.

Triflow Reclaimer 13.5T Excavator Water Cart2 Hiab

Triflow Reclaimer

The Triflo truck mounted mud cleaning system removes cuttings from return pit drilling slurry so it can be reused. The unit uses a series of mechanic process to separate the cuttings. The triflow is capable of keeping up with the fluid demands of the JT8020 drilling rig.

Excavators

CDS has a fleet of excavators to work with the drills and other equipment. Shown above is the 13.5T Kobelco working at the Tauranga Watermain project. We also have 8T, 5.5T, 4.5T and 4T Kobelco machines, a 12T Hitachi and 3.5T and 3T IHI excavators.

Water Cart

Our 10,000L capacity eight wheel watercart  becomes an essential  part of any drilling operation where water supply is not readily available. It is also used to carry drill fluid when the reclaimer and drill cannot be established at the same location.

Hiab Truck

Our eight wheel HIAB truck is capable of lifting 5,000kg loads and is well suited for drill rod transport and loading operation. This truck can also be set up as a mud mixing platform for our smaller scale drilling operations - shown here with a mixing tank.
